Faith Goals

The Miracle of Faith GoalsVery interesting book (The Miracle of Faith Goals by Dave Williams). Short 11-chapter book. He personally wants you to read through this 7 times. I have been through twice. I have found that after I had read the first time, that I had started doing some of the things he recommends. He has a V-7 Strategy. Values – what do you value most in your life? Vision – What do you see yourself doing? Has God given you a dream…something He wants you to do? Voicing – once you have that dream…that something to do…let someone know. It makes you accountable. Vividness – Setting your goals, organizing, planning. Visioning – this is different from your vision. This is seeing you in your vision…faith movies! Vitalizing – bringing your goals into action. Victory – Your dream is realized! He explains each one of these with testimonials of those who have done these and gotten their victory.

Psalms 91 – Part 11

29 05 2013
“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your wa  Oh my, what a promise.  We have all grown up hearing we have a guardian angel.  But this says ANGELS!  There is nothing like knowing that God’s angels have charge over me.  They are guarding me in whatever I do and whatever I get in.  I believe when we reach “Home”, that we will be amazed at how much His angels saved us from death.  They protect us from so many things!
They also keep me in all my ways.  Well, I’m trusting that my ways are His ways.  That is the best way of knowing that I will be kept in my ways, for if I am out of His will, why would they?  I need to be on my toes…be obedient.  Then I can expect the protection I need.
How about you?  Are you being obedient?  Are you following His Word?  Are you in His Word?  Are you praying to Him?  Please, come to Him now…I beg you!  He’s at your heart’s door knocking.  Will you let Him in?

Psalms 91 – Parts 9 & 10

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Today will be doing verses 9 & 10 together because it goes together.  We will be following one thought…refuge with NO harm.  Wow!  Have you ever thought of that?

First we have to realize and say that the Lord is your refuge.  What exactly does that mean?  According to the dictionary refuge means: a shelter or protection from danger or trouble.  That’s a sweet picture I see of being in a cave during a storm.  Also, think of soldiers in a foxhole during combat.  Shelter.

You also need to make Him your dwelling.  Dwelling is where you live.  Let Him live in you.  How does that happen?  Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Believe and accept that He died for you and would have done it if you were the only one here.  He loves you that much!

Then it says when you do this, no harm will overtake you…no disaster will come near your tent.  When we think disaster, we think what has just happened to Oklahoma.  That is disaster in a big way.

But your tent?  Most people would think that is where you live.  Go with me here a minute.  When my mother passed away, my Dad told me that she wasn’t there anymore…she was living in a tent.  So, here we go.  You are a spirit.  That’s the real you…on the inside.  You have a soul.  That’s your intellect…your thinking.  And you live in a body.  That’s what this is saying here.  No disaster will come near your tent.

But, you have to be abiding in Him.  Believe Him in EVERY area of your life.  Sickness?  He can handle that.  Rejection?  He can handle that, too.  He was rejected.  He knows how you feel.  He will NEVER reject you.

So now the ball is in your corner.  What will you do?  Will you reject Him and His protection and comfort?  Will you accept Him and all He’s done for you and given you.  The answer is up to you.  Accept Him today.

Psalms 91 – Part 8

You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.  This is BIG!

This doesn’t mean that if you are in the service that you won’t have to lift a finger to protect…to do your part.  But, you will be spared.  You will see the enemy go to flight.

But, this also has another meaning with it.  You belong to Jesus.  You are following Him with all your heart and being.  The enemy, our adversary the devil, will be using people to come against you…those who are not following Jesus.  They will be judged.  The Lord will have vengeance on them for us, His children.

So, where are we going with this?  We get ourselves under His protection, and He will protect us from the adversary.  Miracles will happen.  They happen everyday and we just don’t see them (another lesson).

Let’s go out there and stay protected under God’s wings.  He loves us so much He sent Jesus to die for us

Psalms 91 – Part 7

16 05 2013

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

What a promise of protection!  No matter what or who comes against you, you will be protected!

God wants to protect His people.  Just bring to His remembrance what His Word says.  No, God doesn’t forget, but He wants us to remind Him so it reminds you!  Yeah, sounds backwards, but it works.  When you hear yourself saying something, you get it to the inside of you.  You remember it, then!  Wow!

So, just remember, He wants to protect you from all, who, or what may come your way.  Accept that protection today.

2012 – The Beginning of the End

This is a very poorly written book…more like a booklet.  I read the Kindle version of this, and was very disappointed.  Only 12 short chapters (that was the good part).  Many grammatical errors that you would have learned in grade school…punctuation, past and present tense in one sentence.  Made this difficult to read because of that.  I do NOT recommend this book.  It’s as if the author wants to be Superman and save the world.  NOT!  Don’t waste your time on this book.

AWESOME! A completely awesome book that keeps you riveted. Keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Here is a young man who is persecuting Christians after WWIII. What is his name? Paul. His story is very similar to the Apostle Paul from the Bible. He was struck blind after an accident. He was miraculously healed. He became a Christian. He became a big part for the Underground. I highly recommend this book as a Must Read.

Psalms 91 – Part 6

11 05 2013
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.  Whoa, doomsday!  Let’s start at the beginning.  I had to look pestilence up in the dictionary:  a fatal epidemic disease (bubonic plague); something morally corrupting.  Now in these days epidemic could be thought of as Aids.  Morally corrupting?  What isn’t morally corrupting these days?  That’s all we see around us!
Next is destruction at noonday.  Destruction:  action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.  That’s pretty explainable.
So, let’s put this altogether with what we have learned so far.
This goes with verse 5.  We won’t be afraid of the pestilence; we won’t be afriad of destruction.  And why?  We have put ourselves under the Shadow of the Almighty!  We are trusting explicitly in Him!  Why?  Because we know that we know that we know that He cares so much for us that He will keep us safe.
So, how can this be, you say?  It can be because you have accepted what Jesus has done for you.  Jesus came and died and rose just for you.  If you were the only one here, He would have done it just for you.  Will you receive His forgiveness today?  He’s waiting for you to come with open arms!  He Loves You!

Becoming a Person of InfluenceWell, here is another John Maxwell book.  This was a little more interesting to do. The really helps you become a good leader.  Integrity is big in this book.  Also, are you being a mentor?  That was hard for me to understand until I realized that this was people who influenced you in your life.  There it is again…INFLUENCE.  Are you being a good or bad influence?  Your life shows alot.  You have to be a good listener.
This book sums it up real easy for you.  I-Integrity with People; N-Nurtures Other People; F-Faith in People; L-Listens to People; U-Understands People; E-Enlarges People; N-Navigates for Other People; C-Connects with People; E-Empowers People; R-Reproduces Other Influencers.
I endeavor this year to Influence others in a positive way

Psalms 91- Part 5

3 05 2013

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.  That reminds me of being a child.  You always seem to think that a monster is after you when all is quiet and you are in bed.  But, that just isn’t so.  Just lean on Jesus.  He is by your side.  He won’t let anything bad come to you.  But, there is a condition.  You have to ask Him!  Yes, He does know what you need, but He just wants you to ask.

Nor the arrow that flies by day.  Wow.  That is what we seem to be living through in these days.  Terrorism is everywhere these days…even in small villages.  No one seems to be exempt anymore.  So, what are we do?  The first sentence sums it all up.  I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.  Fear is opposite of faith.  Where fear is, faith isn’t.  So, which do you want to live by?  Fear or faith?  I personally choose faith.  Some would call it blind faith.  But it isn’t when you have faith in the Almighty God when you choose to abide in Him.

So, do you choose to abide in Him, too?  It’s is real easy.  He made it that way.  He wants all to abide in Him.  He made us for fellowship with Him.  Come to Him today.
