By building our lives around godly principles, surrounding ourselves with wisdom, and living for a cause greater than ourselves, we can effectively live out God’s purposes and have an enduring impact. As Brian Houston has personally discovered, when we depend on Jesus as the source for our identity, our lives can be a lasting legacy that maximize the gifts He has given each of us as unique individuals. Ephesians 3 is a call to release the immeasurable potential within you and the exceeding, abundant, and above plans and purposes of a Holy God that are beyond your greatest imagination.

I enjoyed this book very much, as it had to do with wanting more.  How do we get more of God?  How does one go about getting closer to Him?  Brian Houston brings about what we do with our dreams, our callings, are we expecting from God, plus so much more.

Worship is more than singing on Sunday morning. While that’s part of it, worship is the essence of what makes us truly human. God sparked this desire within our hearts from the day He first breathed life into Adam and Eve. Since then, every single human who has walked this planet has participated in this God-given ability, and divine quest.  True freedom comes when worship flows through us as naturally as the air we breathe, when the words and actions in our lives resonate with our Creator so deeply that every inhalation is full of meaning.  In The Air I Breathe, Louie Giglio explains in passionate prose what it means to truly live a life of worship, offering insight and guidance for finding our personal path towards connecting with the God of the Universe.

I truly enjoyed this book.  As being part of a worship team, I felt this will help me 100% to be a better worshipper.  Louie Giglio explained worship in easy to understand terms.  This book was laid out to make it easy to read.  The further I got along in the book, the more I realized I have a lot of work to do.  My worship needs to be 100% on God.

Louie Giglio is Pastor of Passion City Church and the founder of the Passion movement. Since 1997, Passion has gathered collegiate-aged young people at events across the U.S. and around the world, uniting millions of students in worship, prayer and justice. Under A Cloudless Sky

under a cloudless sky

A charming and engrossing novel for fans of Southern fiction and the recent hit memoir Hillbilly Elegy about a lush and storied coal-mining town—and the good people who live there—in danger of being destroyed for the sake of profit.

1933. In the mining town of Beulah Mountain, West Virginia, two young girls form an unbreakable bond against the lush Appalachian landscape, coal dust and old hymns filling their lungs and hearts.

2004. Hollis Beasley is taking his last stand. Neighbors up and down the hollow have sold their land to Coleman Coal and Energy, but Hollis is determined to hold on to his family legacy on Beulah Mountain.

What surprises them all is how their stories will intersect with a feisty octogenarian living hundreds of miles away. When Ruby Handley Freeman’s grown children threaten her independence, she takes a stand of her own and disappears, propelling her on a journey to face a decades-old secret that will change everything for her and those she meets.

I really enjoyed this book.  At first it was hard going back and forth from 1933 and 2004.  You had to pay attention to what time period you were in.  The story of Ruby and Bean was very special and it was quite interesting at how Chris Fabry brought the two time periods together.
