Jesus, the Man

Jesus wept

John 11:35 – Jesus Wept.

This shows just how human Jesus is.  He wept over the loss of his friend.  He wept over the unbelief of the people.

That is why I like this picture so much.  I believe He is still weeping.  Weeping over the strife amongst the churches today.  Weeping over all the unbelief.

You know, hell was never made for people.  It was made for Satan and his followers, the fallen angels.  People have asked, “If God is so loving, why does he send people to hell?” The answer to that question: He doesn’t.  God made people with choice.  People choose to go there.  Now that doesn’t make sense, does it?  Well, let’s put it this way then.  If you don’t choose to follow Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, you have chosen to go to hell.  If you don’t choose, you cannot go to heaven and be with Him.  The choice is hell.

Now you can see why He is weeping.  He is weeping over this whole world.  He will not push Him onto you.  You have to choose Him.

From the title: Man?  Yes, man.  But also God.  Today is the day of salvation.  I have heard of many young teenagers dying in car crashes lately.  You cannot afford to wait to make this decision.  Accept Him today.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for me and raising again on the third day.  I accept your life today and want to live for You.  In your name, Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer, Welcome to the Family!  Now the next thing I want you to do is to let me know.  I will write back…I promise.  Again, Welcome!

Do do not be grieved.  Grieved about what?  The first thing that pops into my mind is of your past mistakes – your past sins.  Well, number one – if you have asked forgiveness, they are as far as the east is from the west.

Don’t let the enemy bring those thought back to you.  They are gone!

Now the reason we don’t grieve: The Joy of the Lord is your strength.  Joy is not happiness.  Happiness depends upon circumstances.  But joy comes from the Lord.

Joy gives you strength.  Strength to go on when you’ve had a really bad day.  Strength to go on when anything bad happens.  You can still have joy, for you know God is with you.  As I have said: Keep on keeping on.  You keep on going.  But you may wonder how.  Lean on God.  Step into His joy.

So let me encourage you today to be joyful, for He will give you strength to get through the trouble.

Plow up the hard ground of your hearts.  In your gardens the hard ground is worthless.  Let’s go a little farther with this.  Satan’s name in the Bible is Belial.  That is Hebrew for Bel-ya-al, which means worthless.  Som the devil is not only evil, but worthless.  The more you din, the more worthless you become as a believer.  It wastes your life, time, thoughts, energy, and your walk.  Satan wants you worthless.  When you sin, you are not serving God or spreading the Gospel.  You don’t praise or glorify God.  You miss the call on your life -completely worthless.  Sin is not only a waste, but waste is sin.  Think back on what you are doing.  Wasting time in front if the computer?  The TV?  How about texting on your cell phone?  Instead, spend time in the Word, communing with your Creator – God Almighty.  Jesus gave His life for you so your life would be worth something.  It is…if you spend it with Him.  All else is of the devil.

Pressing Toward Perfection

21 06 2015

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I

have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that

perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.
—Philippians 3:12 NLT

It is our job to press toward the mark of perfection, and yet the Bible

teaches us we will not attain perfection until Jesus, the Perfect One,

comes to take us to live with Him for eternity (see1 Corinthians 13:9–

10). We can grow; we can change and do better and better. But if we

obtained perfection in our behavior, we would no longer need Jesus—

and that is never going to happen.

We can, however, have perfect hearts toward God by fully wanting His

will and doing all we can to work with the Holy Spirit toward that goal.

God sees your heart, and He counts you as perfect even while you are

making the journey toward perfection.

Where is Your Home?

15 06 2015

Set your mind on things above. Now I don’t mean to be so

heavenly minded that you are no earthly good. Yes, you do

have to live here on the earth, but keep striving for more

heavenly things. Search the Bible. Read the Bible. Study the

Bible. Be in prayer. Get to know the Father. Get to know the

Son – Jesus. Get to know the Holy Spirit. Get to know the

Three-in-One. This is how you set your mind on things

above. Yes, you live on the earth, but this is not your home.

It is like when you go on a vacation. You think about things

at home. Same here. This earth is not your home. Think on

your home – heaven. There are many times when I think it’s

time to go home. I realized I was home…so what was I

thinking? I was thinking of home – heaven. This earth with

all it’s troubles just makes me want to go home. So, set your

mind on your eternal home today.

Love – A Decision

13 06 2015

2 John 6 – Love. We all talk about love, but what exactly is it?

Well, I can tell you it isn’t feelings. It isn’t that “fuzzy”

feeling. It is a decision. You decide whether or not you are

going to love that person. And as this verse says, we love by

doing God’s commands, and one of them is love. If we do

what He wants us to do, that shows that you love Him. It is

the same with other people. If you do things for them, it

shows that you love them. When you begin to live for

yourself, the love is not shown. That is when I would ask

you, “Do you really love them?” God showed His love for us

by sacrificing His only Son for us so we could live with Him

forever. Well, I want to live with Him, so I will show my love

by doing for Him. Will you?

Nothing Can Separate Us

9 06 2015

Romans 8:38-39 – If you ever think that you can walk away

from God’s love or that He doesn’t love because of what

you’ve done, here is the answer. There is nothing that can

separate us! Wow! Now how awesome is that? I would also

add to this list: terrorists. They may think they are

separating us from God and His love, but No Can Do!

There is nothing that can separate us from His love. That is,

unless you choose to turn your back on Him and choose not

to be His child. He will still love you all the way to hell. Yes, I

said the H-word. There is a hell and a heaven…not just

heaven, but we need to make sure we know where we are

going. There is just the two choices. Choose Jesus? Heaven.

Not choose Jesus? Hell. Pretty simple. I choose Jesus. So

just choose Jesus today and know that He loves you, no

matter what.

All Things are Possible

6 06 2015

Matthew 19:26 – With God all things are possible. The big

word in here is all. Are we going to let God do what He does

best? He provides for us; He died for us; He loves us. Also,

this verse says: with God. We can’t do it on our own. We

need to give Him the reins.

This also made me think of Abraham and Sarah. Here they

were well beyond the age of having children, but that wasn’t

too difficult for God. In Genesis, it says: is anything too

difficult for the Lord? My answer is no! He can do all things.

So I just want to encourage you today to trust God at His

No Fear

3 06 2015

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Use it to fight

Satan every time he comes against you. Hold up your shield

of faith and quench all of his fiery darts. Speak words of

faith and fear will depart.

Destroyed Because of No Knowledge

2 06 2015

My people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge.

Ouch! But this verse goes further to blame the priests for

this. Now let us put this into our day. Our ministers are

responsible for giving us the Word to help us grow in Christ.

Now let’s go a little further. Once we receive that Word, we

need to digest it. Just like food: we eat and then digest. Once

it is digested it comes out. We spread the Word that we

received to others. We reach out. We can’t leave it all to the

ministers. There are those who will not step a foot into a

church, but will listen to a friend. So the scripture says they

are destroyed (or die) from a lack of knowledge. Let us go

out there and tell them about Jesus.

Don’t give a lot. That can turn them off. Give them a tidbit.

Just a seed. Then watch that seed grow!
