All Things are Possible

6 06 2015

Matthew 19:26 – With God all things are possible. The big

word in here is all. Are we going to let God do what He does

best? He provides for us; He died for us; He loves us. Also,

this verse says: with God. We can’t do it on our own. We

need to give Him the reins.

This also made me think of Abraham and Sarah. Here they

were well beyond the age of having children, but that wasn’t

too difficult for God. In Genesis, it says: is anything too

difficult for the Lord? My answer is no! He can do all things.

So I just want to encourage you today to trust God at His

No Fear

3 06 2015

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Use it to fight

Satan every time he comes against you. Hold up your shield

of faith and quench all of his fiery darts. Speak words of

faith and fear will depart.

Destroyed Because of No Knowledge

2 06 2015

My people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge.

Ouch! But this verse goes further to blame the priests for

this. Now let us put this into our day. Our ministers are

responsible for giving us the Word to help us grow in Christ.

Now let’s go a little further. Once we receive that Word, we

need to digest it. Just like food: we eat and then digest. Once

it is digested it comes out. We spread the Word that we

received to others. We reach out. We can’t leave it all to the

ministers. There are those who will not step a foot into a

church, but will listen to a friend. So the scripture says they

are destroyed (or die) from a lack of knowledge. Let us go

out there and tell them about Jesus.

Don’t give a lot. ThatĀ can turn them off. Give them a tidbit.

Just a seed. ThenĀ watch that seed grow!

Enter Boldly

1 06 2015

Have boldness to enter into the throne room. What!? That is

where the high priest went once a year, and he had a rope

tied to His ankle with bells on it. If they didn’t hear those

bells anymore, they dragged the priest back, and most likely

he was dead. Now the New Testament says we can enter

boldly? Yes, and that’s because of Jesus. The sins were taken

care of once and for all by Jesus. It is all taken care of. We

can enter with no fear. This also is not a physical building,

but we can enter into God’s presence boldly. So the next

question is how? First of all by coming to Jesus. Accept Him

as your personal Lord and Savior. Then get into prayer. Talk

to Him. Tell Him exactly how you feel. Be quiet. He wants to

talk to you, too. He is your friend, and friends communicate

together. So let me encourage you today to enter into His

throne room boldly and communicate with your Creator.

This is one verse I lean on quite often. Even though we have

asked Jesus to forgive us, we still have our human nature

(flesh) to contend with. We still get tempted. We still,

unfortunately, give in to that temptation. We still do wrong

things. What is so nice about this verse is that God still

forgives us. This was written to believers. Like them, we still

miss the mark. But God is always there ready to forgive. How

do we know we’ve done wrong? If you feel ‘dry’ on the inside,

that’s a pretty good clue you’ve done something wrong.

That’s when it’s time to do inventory and see where you

missed. If you can’t find it, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to

you, and He will. But, this does not give you a license to sin.

No, it doesn’t go that way. If you habitually do something,

that’s another story. This is just doing something wrong…a

sin. So, let me encourage you to ask forgiveness. He is

waiting for you.

Now that we have finished with our study on the Armor of

God, there is a confession I would like to encourage all of

you to say each day.

I will be trained by God’s Word and take my place in God’s

mighty army.

I will strap on the weapons of my warfare:

My shield of faith

The breastplate of my righteousness

My weapons belt of truth

My gospel combat boots

My sword – the sword of the Spirit,

The Word of truth!

I confidently put on the armor of light and walk boldly in

the light! I am ready. I overcome the spirit of fear with the

Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

I take my place alongside Jesus, the Victor. And, knowing

the battle is already won, I declare: “I am a victor!”

Are You Using Your Sword?

17 05 2015

It’s time to get on with the armor. We are to the Sword of the

Spirit, which is the Word of God. This is the one that makes

satan cower. He does not like the Word. He will use it, twist

it, to make it look like it isn’t true. But we know better. When

we speak the Word, he has to flee? Why do I say speak?

Satan can’t read our thoughts. We can’t think or read to

make him flee. It takes speaking the Word! So speak the

Word today.
