Are You Stumbling?

Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight].
– Jude 1:24

Obedience to God fills our lives with so much joy that we don’t even know how to talk about it. The Bible calls it “joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8 KJV). Experience the joy of being in God’s awesome presence. Start your day by praising God for your blessings, and worshiping Him with a heart ready to serve Him.

Do do not be grieved.  Grieved about what?  The first thing that pops into my mind is of your past mistakes – your past sins.  Well, number one – if you have asked forgiveness, they are as far as the east is from the west.

Don’t let the enemy bring those thought back to you.  They are gone!

Now the reason we don’t grieve: The Joy of the Lord is your strength.  Joy is not happiness.  Happiness depends upon circumstances.  But joy comes from the Lord.

Joy gives you strength.  Strength to go on when you’ve had a really bad day.  Strength to go on when anything bad happens.  You can still have joy, for you know God is with you.  As I have said: Keep on keeping on.  You keep on going.  But you may wonder how.  Lean on God.  Step into His joy.

So let me encourage you today to be joyful, for He will give you strength to get through the trouble.
