SUDDEN MAIL ORDER BRIDE:

A SWEET, CLEAN WESTERN ROMANCE

Author: Regina Scott

Reviewer: Cris Hoxie

Review: Regina Scott has done it again where you felt as if you were right there witnessing this whole saga. In a way, you become friends with all who are a part of this. You have Jeremy, who has written for a mail order bride. You have Caroline, who has been writing back and forth with Jeremy, and just shows up at their door. It is so nice to see how the family responds to her. But is everything coming up roses? Not at all. They both have pasts that cloud their love for one another. Then at the end, a surprise that blind-sided me. I did not see it coming. Of course, you will need to read this book to see exactly what it was. What I will say was that the farther I got in the book, the more it was harder to put down. Very well written! Looking forward to the next one!

Synopsis: What’s a fellow to do when his mail-order bride shows up all of a sudden? The charming Jeremy Willets thought writing away for a mail-order bride a wise decision. He just had to find a way to break it to his family. They valued true love, after all. True love wasn’t so easy to find in a frontier territory where men outnumbered the women eight to one. He never expected the woman with whom he was corresponding to show up at the door of his family’s ranch, unannounced and ready for a wedding. Spunky Caroline Cadhill staked everything on finding a groom as far away from Cincinnati as possible. The letters Jeremy sent her seemed heartfelt and witty. Yet he hadn’t made a commitment. With danger threatening and her brother vanished, her only choice had been to run, right into Jeremy’s arms. Now she isn’t sure which is more dangerous, the men chasing her or the smile of her cowboy would-be groom.Between a boisterous matchmaking family and a threat from her past, Caroline and Jeremy will have their hands full. But if they persevere, they may find their sudden romance turning into a forever love.

Bio: Regina Scott started writing novels in the third grade. Thankfully for literature as we know it, she didn’t actually sell her first novel until she’d learned a bit more about writing. Since then, she’s had published more than 60 works of warm, witty historical romance, and more than 1 million copies of her books are in reader hands.

Her books have earned praise from reviewers and readers alike. Booklist calls her work “quietly compelling” and “impeccably written.” She has twice been awarded best book of the year for her type of story from industry favorite RT Book Reviews. A Distance Too Grand in the American Wonders Collection was named one of the top 10 romances of the year by Booklist.

Regina Scott has learned to fence, driven four-in-hand, sailed on a tall ship, and dressed as a Regency dandy, all in the name of research, of course. She makes her home in the Puget Sound area of Washington State with her beloved husband.
